The beloved Royal Angel Weights, revered as Ratanapura’s "Ava" sacred gateway to deities. They were at the very heart of Myanmar's ancient capital, empowering the realm with an essence of mystical stature, believing the immortals were their allies. As such, Angel Weights were perceived of infinite worth and irreplaceable. Diaries divulge legendary tales of angelic intervention and influences, reverently esteeming their precious Angel Weights as the source. Their mysticism and ancient legends portray angels as the divine guardians of spirituality, prosperity, and happiness of their kingdom. The heavens, mother nature, everything seen and unseen, were perceived as being influenced by these sacred emblems, their direct advocate to angels.
Ratanapura’s Angel Weights proclaimed the empires stature. Portraying the kingdom with undeniable superiority and dominion because of their perceived divine alliance. This perception prevailed far beyond the dynasty. The Angel Weights legendary stature was highly coveted for centuries, causing jealousy and unquenched envy among other kingdoms. During continuous pursuits and the ravages of war, King Mobye Narapati accompanied by his royal adviser U Tha Nu Hto and families, secretly fled. They hid with the kingdoms Angel Weights and treasures in a sanctuary already prepared to secure Ratanapura's historical legacy. After their mysterious disappearance, as recorded by the noble guardians, “A never ending search continued, as all kingdoms sought the Royal Angel Weights, to gain their believed divine influences over all things.”
Diaries record King Mobye Narapati took his royal dagger, the same held for centuries by every king since the earliest reigns of Pagan, and cut himself and his royal adviser U Tha Nu Hto. Placing their blood in a cup, both drinking, they vowed a blood oath of consecration, allegiance, and unfailing devotions. Their pledge formed an inseparable alliance binding them and their families, with their lives if necessary. They solemnly exchanged promises to protect their secret and preserve the Royal Angel Weights of Ratanapura and its cultural evidences, so it was never lost or forgotten.
A legacy of honor beginning with the father of them all, U THA NU HTO (1st generation), and valiantly embraced by these subsequent 14 other chosen family generations. 2. (U Min Hto), 3, (U Thoung Hto), 4. (U Ching Hto), 5. (U Saw Hto), 6. (U Than Phyu), 7. (U Sin Phout), 8. (U Aye Cho), 9. (U Thoung Myint & U Ba), 10. (U Hthin son of U Ba), 11. (U Ba Si), 12. (U Tar Ya), 13. (U Than also named Wa Thot), 14. (U Win Shawe), 15. (U Chit Sein).
Father to a son the promise was fulfilled. U Chit Sein (15th generation) proclaimed such undying loyalties as near death he uttered a release and final decree. "My ancestors before and I, remain unwavering and devoted to preserving Ratanapura's Royal Angel Weights and their history. Everything precious is not easy to possess, so it is important to protect what we have for the future of our country and all its people. So, I never stop praying to the Buddha and trust Buddha to protect Ratanapura's old kings Angel Weights, our history, everything from Ratanapura's "Ava" royal chambers hidden. I have peace in my heart, knowing the Buddha will protect, and that I have done my best to fulfill my promise."
Such loyalties triumphed over all, even the betrayal of U Chit Sein's renegade son, a monk in disguise. He proved to be unworthy of trust, disloyal to the nobility and honor of his 15 father generations. The monks greed, shamelessness, and deceit brought defiant acts as he selfishly abandoned his lineage, to do the unthinkable. A traitor to higher purposes, unworthy, and denied his place as a generation with his noble for-bearers. His evil life brought karma, disgrace, and exile. Warned in a dream the monks father U Chit Sein, sadly but surely predicted his sons betrayal. So another was already chosen to know and understand what only the monks father U Chit Sein ( 15th generation) knew and could give. For years even until the very end, U Chit Sein though suffering and dying, told and retold the secret he had faithfully kept silent. Reiterating history to the final generation as it had been told for centuries, among a select few who were chosen for the responsibility to preserve the past for the future.
Ratanapura's "Ava" Royal Angel Weights and historical legacy, as vowed, was preserved by these 15 generations of honorable men and two women. U Chit Sein's wife Dawe Tawe, and Snow, both selflessly gave their life for such. An awakening is occurring, as finally their untellable story is beginning to be told.
